hi, friends!
happy friday! not sure about y’all, but i’m looking forward to this weekend at home to relax, ride, and shoot for the blog! shooting is admittedly a fair amount of work — primarily planning outfits and getting organized — but it’s always a lot of fun during the shoot and seeing the results. anyway, this week features a look inspired by one of the pieces sent to me by tribe kelley. delaney had this piece last fall and i certainly admired it from afar so when tribe kelley approached me, i knew i had to request it. this hoodie was hands down my favorite piece of the bunch, and i hope you like what i came up with. tribe kelley’s aesthetic is very surf-and-skate infused so i was going for a casual, california cool vibe that is still very much wearable in this indian summer weather we’re experiencing in nashville. the location very much reminds me of a skate park, too, so i think delaney knocked it out of the park!
hoodie – c/o tribe kelley; shorts – sincerely jules; shoes – matisse; choker – free people; sunglasses – ray-ban; rings – vintage; sandalwood and stone bracelets – judith bright
details
i love the distressed details of this hoodie that make it look like you’ve had it for years, or stole it from a boyfriend.
i thought the addition of these fringe matisse booties gave the outfit a decidedly boho vibe, as opposed to a sneaker or sandal. shoes and accessories are the key to transforming your outfits from basic to interesting, so don’t underestimate them or what they “say” in the context of your look.

that’s a wrap, folks! ➸
many thanks for reading!
