hi, friends!

i’m back! i know y’all missed me and i’m sure you’re sad this isn’t a post about the nordstrom anniversary sale. nope, i’m just bringing you a regular old t-shirt and shorts because i love wearing t-shirts and denim shorts in the summer. really, this isn’t that “regular” of a tee, which is why i like it. it’s got a cutout and burnout! so, there…stone cold proof i’m a blogger.

i get pretty lazy in the summer because it’s so darn hot, but lately i’ve been trying really hard to step up my everyday outfits. if i’m meeting a friend for a casual dinner, or even running errands, i’m prone to taking my laid-back style to the extreme and putting pretty minimal effort into my outfit. my summer uniform is exceedingly casual, to be honest. as much as i like fashion, i’m also very pragmatic and don’t like “wasting” cute outfits because i don’t like to repeat them. so, i’ve been trying to challenge myself to wear still casual, but slightly elevated versions of my jean-shorts-and-tee summer uniform. usually that entails switching out my birkenstocks for some cool ankle boots or choosing a cute tank and bralette instead of a very basic t-shirt. and other times i just go with it because i have a lot of awesome tees, so, whatever!
