hi, friends!

i know i’ve been neglecting my blog and haven’t been super active. i’ve been really busy doing other things and trying to adjust to some changes in my life. plus, i felt burnt out and i honestly wasn’t sure what i have to contribute anymore. but, i ran into an old classmate (thanks, chrissy!) recently who expressed that she’d missed seeing my posts, and really encouraged me to start blogging again. she had a lot of kind words about my style that was, admittedly, really nice to hear and gave me some perspective. it was a reminder of why i do this — really, it’s quite simple; this is supposed to be fun and a creative outlet. i love clothes and putting together outfits, so why the hell not?

i shot these outfits earlier in the summer, so i’m going to get these posts up quickly and then get back to more real-time blogging this fall. it’s a lot easier when the weather is cooler (i sweat way too much, it’s not pretty) and fall fashion is way more photogenic than what i wear in the summer (layers!).

i hope y’all love this girly-meets-tomboy look. on another girl, i think this would look really cute with sneakers instead of wedges, that just isn’t really my thing. i’ll probably wear this again with a different hat and ankle boots when it cools off. my oversized denim jacket (i got mine on etsy, it’s a vintage men’s levi’s jacket size small) is literally so perfect and goes with everything. i love it so much i have decided that in its previous life, it was definitely someone’s favorite jacket.
