hi, friends!
finally! new outfits! sorry it took me so long, but i’m really excited to share this look with you. y’all know delaney is my girl but it’s also fun to shoot with different photographers, and i really love how carrie’s photos turned out. she and i have been trying to shoot for some time, but had a little trouble with schedules and some unexpected car trouble on my end. anyway, we finally got together at the first of october and had a great time! she typically shoots weddings and engagements and said shooting for bloggers is a nice change of pace, so i definitely foresee us working together more in the future!
this week i wanted to talk a little about transitional fall style because we’ve had some funky weather in nashville. it’s actually been pretty hot and humid most of october, which is not ideal for a girl’s fall wardrobe. it’s really hard to know what to wear on days like these, especially because if you’re anything like me, you likely want to break out your sweaters and boots.
the way i work around this is to keep out my favorite summer tops so i can layer them with a jacket or sweater. it’s not exactly ground breaking, but it’s easy for me to get stuck because i break out my cold-weather items too quickly and then spend the entire day sweating (as i did a few days ago at work because i was hell-bent on wearing my new mustard sweater). a denim jacket, lightweight military parka, or open-knit cardigan are great choices for this time of year when you can’t quite give up your tanks and tees just yet.

I love that jacket. The color should be good for brunette and blonde. Thanks
