hi, friends!
sorry i’ve been absent lately – the last few weeks of august were very busy with traveling and work. i had a horse show in atlanta a few weeks ago that went very well, and as i’m writing this i’m in the airport heading to phoenix to visit my baby brother! i’m so excited and will be doing my best to take lots of photos. expect to see some looks from my adventures on the blog.
this week’s post is inspired by the summer-fall transition that’s upon us. while temperatures have been pretty warm this past week in nashville, we’ve had some cooler days and very pleasant mornings, so i expect fall will be here before we know it! personally, i love fall, so i’m excited for boots, sweaters, and cooler temperatures.
these photos were taken by the incredibly sweet, incredibly talented rachel cohen, who recently relocated to kansas city. i wish her many adventures and much success, but i’m also a little sad — nashville lost a great one!

this breezy kimono was a birthday gift to myself and is made by a local nashville brand called hey wanderer! i love the fact that it’s sustainably handmade and supports my city’s creative community of makers. y’all know i love wearing kimonos as a third piece because of my bohemian sensibilities, but keep in mind that all things 70’s are trending right now. snag a cool kimono or poncho for fall for an easy, cozy accessory that instantly makes you feel styled and on-trend. pair it with your dresses or shorts now, and flare jeans when it cools off.
also, be prepared to see a lot of these boots because they are everything i’m into right now – suede 70’s cowgirl. can’t wait to wear them with socks…oh, baby!
lip color is bobbi brown rum raisin.
