hi, friends!
happy friday! i’m sure you’re all gearing up for a fun halloween weekend; i know i am! i’ve got lots of fun plans (for once lol) and have a couple costumes up my sleeve this year, so i’m excited. be safe and have fun this halloween!
y’all know i love a great sweater and this free people chenille number is definitely in my personal top ten (i have a lot of sweaters). it’s so comfortable and because of the heavy drape of the chenille, it feels more like a blanket than an article of clothing. chenille is really trendy right now so you can find a lot of options at varying price points. i chose this one because i just loved the unique color combination and boxy shape. when it came in, i thought it would fit very cropped but it really doesn’t (clearly i’m way taller in my own head).
i have already worn it to work and got a million compliments. for the blog, though, i really wanted to style a casual boho fall look specifically for the in-between weather we’d been having. on those days with cool mornings and nights, but warm days, a sweater totally works with jean shorts. this look feels very “california” to me because out there they have a lot of that type of weather – especially with cool nights near the beach. california girls would probably wear it with vans and maybe a flatbill, though.
sweater – free people; shorts – re/done {use this link to get 20% off}; star choker – c/o harper made; shoes – free people; hat – henschel; sunglasses – ray-ban; rings – vintage
