hi, friends!

dang, y’all i cannot believe it’s september already! the summer is almost over…but not before hurricane irma bears down on us! my mom lives in florida and is coming to stay with me for a bit to get out of the path. for those of you in florida, i am keeping y’all in my thoughts. while i write this, they are still unsure of the path the storm is supposed to take toward the united states; i am hopefully the destruction will be minimal to florida, puerto rico, and the virgin islands. last i read, the island of barbuda was essentially leveled, which is heartbreaking.

this week i’m bringing you a super cheerful outfit in hopes it distracts you for a moment from all that’s going on around us. gotta have a fun, end-of-summer boho look because from now on i’ll be focusing content more on fall. because…sweaters, obviously. anyway, i loved this top so much i got it in two colors (also got it in white, duh), and it’s currently on sale! it doesn’t have great reviews on the free people site, but i love it. for me, it’s a great length and looks awesome tucked in or untucked. i’ve worn it to work and casually, so that’s a win! as y’all know, i live in my cutoffs so i’m of course wearing them as much as i can before it gets too cool. luckily, that won’t be for another month probably — although we have had some pre-fall temps already. this top works with jeans or tucked into a skirt, and i think i can wear it into the fall because yellow is literally everywhere, and because i can do whatever i want.
