hi, friends!

i’m back! wow, has it been a while. i made it six months without shopping before i honestly just decided i’d had enough of it. i still feel really accomplished; i sold a ton of stuff on poshmark and at local consignment stores, and generally got a good reality check when it came to my spending habits. i’ve definitely come to realize that i do not need to shop just for this blog and am focused on only adding items to my wardrobe that i’m obsessed with and can’t live without.

take this incredible kimono, for instance! i fell in love with the color and print and was dying for it. luckily, i didn’t even have to break my shopping freeze for this; my sweet mom got it as an early birthday present for me! thanks, mom!

also, peep my new levi’s! i’d not had great luck with levi’s in the past as they’d never fit me, but i tried these 501 skinnies because i fell in love with the wash. i ordered two sizes and honestly thought neither would work, but i was pleasantly surprised! friends have seen them on me since and ordered levi’s for themselves with great success as well, so don’t overlook this cut. it’s got the high-rise fit with a more tapered leg, so it’s very flattering on a lot of body types.

i went for a casual, laid-back look for this kimono with a graphic tee, jeans and cute accessories. y’all know my style is not too fussy, so this is very me.
