like a girl

hi, friends!
happy friday, y’all! it’s almost september, which inevitably means fall fashion. we can all thank the fashion gods for cooler temps, because we all know that fall style is the best of all! cozy sweaters, hats, socks, boots, and jackets…i’m almost ready! nashville doesn’t have a very pronounced fall — it stays pretty warm until at least october, and then it suddenly gets cool, it seems. for me the ideal temperature is about 65 degrees, so i am definitely looking forward to when the leaves change. but, i also want to make the most of the rest of summer and enjoy my cute dresses, straw hats, and bare legs while i can! i am currently in chicago for my friend sarah’s wedding, and will be enjoying the comfort of their slightly cooler summer weather.

this week’s look is a feminine, casual dress i scored on super sale from boho brand staple, flynn skye. they have been running some flash sales on their site, so be sure to check out the offerings. this would be cute for daytime outings or a girls night out (minus the hat), and would also be perfect for a beach vacation. i wore this to my friend’s rehearsal dinner, as it was a more casual affair, but ditched the hat and wore more dainty jewelry for a more polished look. i love how these photos turned out, so there are a lot…but delaney really outdid herself! we shot this look along natchez trace parkway; it’s one of our go-to spots when we want to get a more natural scenery without having to drive too far!
