legends are forever

hi, friends!
hey, happy august!  hope everyone has had a wonderful summer. my birthday is next week so i’m excited but also a little nervous…anyone else get a bit of the birthday blues? i do have a great friend coming in town to visit me from san diego, and then we’ll be headed to a wedding! very excited for some quality time with my very best college friends (shoutout to my squirrels – can’t wait to see everyone!). anyway, this post features a bomb tee from a brand new collection by one of my favorite brands, mate the label. they have a laid-back, bohemian vibe that’s very me, so when they announced they were doing a collection inspired by the great city of nashville, i knew i’d been purchasing a few items (i got 3…eeek!). this outfit has basically been my summer uniform when i haven’t been at work or riding.

these shorts by sincerely jules have been on heavy repeat this summer.  for me cutoff denim shorts are a staple and all i want to wear in the summer.  shorts that fit can be tough to find, so when you find a pair that work i encourage you to to buy multiples!  i got these in black and white.  i love a pair with a higher rise like these, as they are pretty flattering on lots of people.  the leg is cut a bit wider as well and that looks better on me.  i like styling them more tomboy and casual, but you can dress up a great pair of denim shorts with girlier pieces if your style is more feminine!
