y’all, summer is here! i am so excited for nice warm days (but, in all seriousness, not too hot. i’m a baby) and casual weekends with friends! i’ve been riding and showing a lot, so i don’t have as much time to be social, but i’m trying to make time to enjoy my awesome city. nashville is truly like no where else in the summer.

as i promised last week, this week i took the same free people maxi skirt and dressed it down even more. to me this look is appropriate for casual daytime plans like lunch and shopping, or for any daytime vacation activities. the dress is comfortable so it’s perfect for day, and it’s just pretty enough that you’ll really look polished and put together.

this is the first time i’ve ever worn my hair up for a blog post! i don’t wear my hair up too often, but lately i’ve been trying to do more with it than just wearing it down everyday, so i’ve been wearing this messy low bun about once a week for a month or two. it’s not that easy for my hair to hold in this because it’s very fine, but it looks awesome on most people and it’s very easy, even for me! i always admire perfectly tousled hair on others, so that’s where the inspiration came from, and i’ve been experimenting with other lived-in looks to mix it up.
