hi, friends!
hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving! mine was spent with my whole family, including my dogs and our family pets, at our new family home in clearwater, florida. for this post, i’m serving up some casual boho layers inspiration for your post-feast look that’s great for family gatherings or low-key outings with friends.
style tip
i probably sound like a broken record, but casual layers are an easy way to add more polish to an outfit without a ton of thought. this look is cute and easy, and perfectly suitable for family gatherings or shopping. i’d also wear this out to dinner with my friends. a cute faux fur or leather vest is a no-brainer “third piece” to upgrade your tried-and-true basics from dresses to t-shirts. this is a relatively straight-forward outfit, it’s just made up of items with a little personality and detail. taking your style to the next level is all about finding pieces that you can easily style while still showing some personality!

shopping tip
today is black friday and you’ll likely be bombarded with rampant consumerism today, and as a fashion lover, i understand how overwhelming and anxiety-inducing all the sales can be. there will be lots of retailers fighting for your money, and i generally think that black friday encourages people to buy items they don’t really need and are only purchasing because they’re on sale. if you are shopping today, be sure to scope out your favorite stores to see if items you already want are on sale, and peruse the sale sections to see if you can find any deals. it’s best to ask yourself if you really want the item or are solely buying it because it’s “on sale.” it’s also worth a look because you might score some great gifts for the people on your list as well.
