hi, friends!
sorry for the delay on this post, but i got very sick with a stomach bug last week and just wasn’t up to finishing the post for friday. hopefully this post still comes in time for y’all to get some good new year’s eve outfit inspiration. can y’all believe it’s almost 2017? i feel like 2016 was a very eventful, busy year that both crawled and flew by. there’s definitely some uncertainty for the coming year but i’m looking forward to what 2017 has in store.
basically, i saw this skirt on free people’s site and knew i had to have it. it reminds me of their collections from 4 years ago and it just brought me back to when i really fell for the brand. it’s very girly and pretty so of course i had to make it a little weird, so i wore it with this funky, sporty sweater. the silhouette of the sweater feels a little 80’s to me, so i’m thinking they may be on their way back in the coming seasons. you heard it here first, folks! delaney and i shot this at a christmas tree lot here in nashville to give it that festive holiday vibe, and i hope y’all like the photos!
anyway, hope y’all have had an enjoyable holiday season. i’ll be busy working on nye, but this is definitely what i’d want to wear if i were attending a fun, fancy party in nashville. best wishes for 2017 and i hope y’all have a safe, fun new year’s eve.
