hi, friends!
welcome to the second installment of my holiday dressing guide. obviously, i use the term “guide,” pretty loosely. i’m not trying to give you any sort of rules to follow, because i don’t really believe in that. i’m just trying to share with you my perspective on holiday style, and maybe give you some inspiration to try something new.
i got a really great deal on this gorgeous for love and lemons dress, and was inspired to style it for holiday. i wanted to do something elevated for maybe a fancier occasion, but to make it my own. at this point in my life i don’t have many events that would call for anything dressier than this look. plus, i don’t like to dress too fussy! y’all know i love all things western boho, so that’s the direction i decided to take it to make it more me. i would absolutely never wear this dress with a pair of pumps. to me, that feels too predictable…part of what makes outfits exciting to me is styling them in a way that most people won’t expect.
hat – janessa leone; jacket – cleobella; dress – for love and lemons; boots – stuart weitzman
