hi, friends!

it is almost april and i sort of can’t wrap my head around it, but i’m ready for the seasons to change and for it to be warm.  in light of that, i’ve got a cute little casual outfit today that’s a little bit feminine and a little bit western.  if you don’t already have a button-front denim or suede mini, you need to get one asap as it’s going to be a staple for a while.  it combines both a nod to the 90’s and the 70’s, which is why it feels current now.  you can snag one at a variety of price points, but i believe this is a piece you don’t have to spend a ton on to get good quality.   i got one last year from zara and it still looks awesome.

style tip

a denim mini skirt like this can be a real workhorse in your wardrobe if you know what to do with it.  this look for me would work for casual lunch or shopping with my friends. i’d wear this out for drinks, too, but you can easily swap out the t-shirt for something more fitted for evening {feeling this top}, and throw on a boot with a higher heel.  i also love it with a blousy, 70’s inspired top with a deep v-neck {like this!}…you’d tuck it in for a fresh take on the 70’s vibe.  it would also look really cute with a flat sandal for casual outings or on your next vacation.  see “shop this look” for a few different options at a variety of pricepoints!  wild child
