hi friends! hope you are all doing well and had a safe and fun halloween. here is another shoot shot by my pal delaney. this outfit was inspired by the outfit i wore to my dear friend cori’s beautiful wedding back in july. it was outdoors and very rustic and bohemian, and i wanted to dress up for her and her groom in one of my best pieces! to me, dressing up and wearing a favorite, beautiful piece is respectful, especially for such an important occasion like a wedding. to me, weddings are celebratory and happy, and although i never want to detract from the couple, i view wearing beautiful clothes as a loving gesture. i think my friends understand that. her wedding was actually the first time i ever wore this beautiful lace free people skirt. it is at least four years old, and it’s beautiful but a little tricky. it’s unlined and very long, and it’s always been difficult for me to figure out ways to wear it. just goes to show that sometimes you have to get creative to bring new life into things in your closet. for this shoot i wanted to style the skirt […]
