casual boho 70's
outfit inspiration, style tips

velvet underground

hi, friends!

well, december is here and the holiday season is officially in full swing. i’ve steadily begun my gift shopping, although i am a little at a loss as to what to get my family this year. usually i have ideas cooking long before this time rolls around, but i’m sure i’ll have an epiphany soon. in the meantime, this look is just a fun, casual 70’s-inspired boho look to provide some style inspiration. y’all know by now the 70’s are trending, and i like a little tomboy, “i’m-with-the-band” style every once in a while to mix it up.  1970’s doesn’t necessarily have to mean baby tees and shearling, so just keep that in mind if you’re a little intimidated by the trend.

style tip

velvet is a wonderful fabric to wear in the fall/winter, and especially the holiday season. this very same blazer would look adorable over a cute dress at your office party, for a friends’ christmas party, or even at new year’s eve if you aren’t into sparkles.  it gives even a casual frock a dressed-up touch of luxe texture.
