oh my goodness, may is flying by. i’m not sure if it’s officially summer yet, but it sure is starting to feel like it. the days are getting warmer and longer, not to mention much busier! this is the time of year when you want minimal effort and maximum style with everything you wear. for this week, i wanted to give you a good example of a casual look for everyday summer inspiration.
i got this great casual dress by knot sisters from my friend clare of council wardrobe studio, and i’ve worn it every week since. it’s floaty and perfect for work and casual wear, and it’s crazy easy to style. great basics like this are perfect for summer when you are hot and don’t want to put much effort into what you’re wearing; it’s absolutely necessary to own some great, easy pieces you can throw on without a second thought. this is a true outfit of the day because delaney and i shot this right after i left work in sylvan park!

my coworker told me that i reminded her of taylor swift when i wore this dress, so i decided to go with it. taylor loves her a good felt hat, heel, and red lip with her black-and-white-stripes, and i threw in a fringe bag to make it me (taylor tends to carry more structured, ladylike handbags). easy!
